Doncaster Development Plans

Stables
A new complex comprising 150 stables with all the associated welfare and veterinary facilities required.

Hotel/Hostel
Part of the stables complex will be a 28 bedroom unit (all twins) to accommodate Grooms when they require overnight accommodation. Horse Boxes will have a dedicated and secure car park adjacent to the stables.

Pre Parade Ring
The PPR will be situated between the stables and the main grandstand (behind the Grade II Listed Clock Tower stand which will also be refurbished). The Horse-Walk will then lead through the gap between the two grandstands bringing considerable theatre to the new heart of the racecourse.

Parade Ring
The Parade Ring will move slightly but still be directly in front of the stands. A new Winners Enclosure will be situated within the PR in a similar fashion to that achieved at Newmarket recently.

Track
A number of long term maintenance jobs will be completed on both the Flat and NH tracks including widening of bends, removal of undulations, re-seeding, drainage, improvements to the irrigation facilities.
